The numerous applied, non toxic, extremely hard, E-1 certified, acrylic coatings (which meet the most rigorous standards for non-toxicability), contain multiple coats of aluminum oxide for added strength and durability. These are included to assure you of a fine, long lasting, glorious finish. Whether you have chosen a semi-matte, satin, or a semi-gloss finish, it will have enhanced long time beauty if you follow a few short, easy steps to help keep your flooring investment looking and performing at its best.

Sweep and vacuum the floor thoroughly after installation.
Dust mop or vacuum your floor as required.
Use a suction vacuum and not rotational brushes.
Use plain water for cleanup.
A water dampened mop cleans efficiently
A “Swiffer™ Dry or WetJet™” or similar cleaning tool can be used.
Insure that furniture legs/ feet have floor protectors installed.
Gritty sand and dirt is abrasive to all floors. Use protective mats at doorways.
Very heavy traffic areas should have runners.
Sharp high heels and metal parts on shoes can damage floors.
Tap dancing is discouraged.
Large and active dogs will do damage
Apply common sense.
Avoid wax, oils, and soaps as cleaning agents.
While not needed, Murphy’s wood soap works well.
Blot spills ASAP.
Do not permit standing water.
Wash with clean water any alcohol spills or pet accidents.
BonaX™ or Bon Ami™ is recommended for heavier cleaning such as permanent markers and rubber heel scuffing.
Refinishing should not be necessary, but in that unlikely event, it should be done only by a professional who will first deep clean chemically, then lightly abrade and recoat with waterborne polyurethane or acrylic.
Maintain proper humidity whenever possible.
